The one thing worth doing before you order is letting us look at the plan, because supplier planners tend to design for a perfectly square room and very few Stockport kitchens are. A ten minute look at the drawing can save you a return delivery and a fortnight of waiting for the right end panel.
On most kitchen fits you are without a sink and a cooker for the middle part of the job rather than the whole of it. A typical fit runs about a week to ten days including the making good, and we sequence it so the water and the cooker come back on as soon as the units and worktops are in. If you tell us there is a family to feed we will plan the days around that, because it makes a real difference over a fortnight.
Yes. Laminate and solid timber we cut, join and fit ourselves. Stone and composite worktops are templated and fitted by a specialist after the units are in, which is how it has to be done for a decent job, and we handle the templating appointment and the wait between the two visits as part of the programme rather than leaving you to arrange it.
Often yes, and it is a good time to do it. Taking out an internal wall usually means a steel or a lintel, calculations, and building control involvement, so it is a bigger conversation than the kitchen itself. We will look at what the wall is holding up, tell you honestly what is involved and price the two together so you are not paying for the same making good twice.
Integrated ovens, hobs, extractors, fridges, dishwashers and washing machines all get fitted and connected as part of the job. Gas appliances are the one exception: gas work goes to a registered engineer, which we arrange rather than fudge. Everything else is straightforward, provided the appliances are on site when we need them.
Yes. The old units, worktops, appliances and packaging all go with us, and the room is left clean rather than filled with cardboard. If any of the old kitchen is worth saving for a garage or a utility, say so before we start and we will take it out carefully instead of quickly.
